The success of degree programmes in higher education is often assessed through graduates’ career outcomes, making tracer studies useful for evaluating programme relevance and effectiveness. This study traced the Davao Oriental State University Master of Science Teaching graduates, majoring in Mathematics and General Science, from AY 2003-2025. Specifically, it examined the graduates’ demographic profile, employment status, acquired competencies, perceived contribution of the MST programme to their career outcomes, and recommendations for curriculum enhancement. A mixed-method approach using a convergent parallel design was employed. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected and analysed simultaneously, with frequency counts and percentages used for quantitative data and thematic analysis used for qualitative responses. Of the 154 identified graduates, 81 participated in the quantitative phase and 5 participated in the qualitative phase, yielding 86 respondents and a response rate of 55.84%. Findings showed that the respondents had a high employability rate, with most occupying regular or permanent positions and holding jobs related to the MST programme. Many respondents also reported promotion after enrolling in or graduating from the programme. Communication, critical thinking, information-technology, problem-solving, and research skills were identified as the most useful competencies in their current work. The respondents recommended curriculum review and stronger research skills development through training and practical applications aligned with workplace demands.
