Work-life balance plays an important role in shaping employees’ job satisfaction and turnover intentions, particularly among professionals who manage demanding workplace responsibilities. This study determined the influence of work-life balance on job satisfaction and turnover intention among academic and school librarians in Regions XI and XII. A total of 72 librarians were selected as respondents through purposive and quota sampling. Data were gathered using a researcher-developed questionnaire that underwent content validation and internal consistency testing. Mean analysis and simple linear regression were employed to analyse the data. The findings showed that librarians reported high levels of work-life balance and job satisfaction, whereas their turnover intention was moderate. Work-life balance was rated high, with time management receiving the highest rating and flexible work arrangements the lowest. Job satisfaction was also rated high, with training and development and work environment receiving the joint-highest ratings, while salary received the lowest. Regression analysis confirmed that work-life balance significantly influenced job satisfaction, indicating that better balance contributes to more favourable perceptions of employment. However, work-life balance did not significantly influence turnover intention. Based on these results, schools and academic institutions are encouraged to establish comprehensive work-life balance policies that create a supportive environment and enable librarians to manage their professional duties and personal lives effectively.
