Dr. Prabuddh Kumar Mishra

He is an assistant professor (Grade III) in the Department of Geography, Shivaji College, the University of Delhi. He received his M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in geography from the Delhi School of Economics, the University of Delhi. He specializes in traditional ecological knowledge, natural resource management, watershed management, mountain studies, sustainability, human and institutional capacity development, and livelihood-related issues. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor National Council of Educational Traning and Research (NCERT) in New Delhi on developing books, study material and e-resources. His top publications have been in journals of national and international repute, including more than 27 research papers in Scopus, 4 books, 8 research papers in UGC care Journals, 7 chapters in book, and conference proceedings. He has carried out various research projects in the capacity of Project Investigator. He has also coordinated, hosted and lead more than 20 Skill based modular training and capacity development programmes with government agencies, community leaders and NGOs.  His recent publication is book entitled ‘Traditional Ecological Knowledge of Resource Management in Asia’ by Springer in 2023. He also serves as a Member of the Editorial Board & Review Committee of many International Scientific Journals. Currently, he is a joint secretary of the National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI) and is also a member of the editorial boards and review committees of many international journals.
